Announcements - Wednesday, 2/6/19

1.  Attention Juniors and Seniors: It is job shadow season!  If you are interested in creating a job shadow experience to explore potential career opportunities, please see Mr. Antonelli in the main office for assistance.  

2.  Reminder to ALL Juniors - The ACT will be administered at Firelands College on February 20th.  Students will be transported from HHS at 7:25 a.m. and should arrive back to HHS around 11:30 a.m.
 
3.  Seniors requesting Official transcripts, please request through Naviance and include the name of the scholarship you are applying for.  Allow 1 week to receive.

  Attention Seniors:  The Erie County Community Foundation manages 35 named scholarship funds for the benefit of Erie County students.  Please visit the website for more information : https://www.eriefoundation.org/about1-c1zic
 
5.  High school juniors and seniors interested in pursuing a career in engineering - ODOT (Ohio Dept. of Transportation), District 3 office located in Ashland is hosting a Shadow an Engineer event on Thurs., Feb. 21st, 8:30 am - 1:00 pm. Email [email protected] or call 419-207-7181 for more information and to register!  DEADLINE FEB. 11, 2019.

6.  The Huron Tiger Core Value of the month of February is: Respectful.  Being respectful can be as easy as using good manners or being an attentive listener.  Your teachers, cafeteria workers, and custodians will be nominating our most respectful students at the end of the month.  Top vote getter wins 4 passes good for any day next summer to Cedar Point.  Be great today!
 
7.  A representative form the US Army will be here during lunches on Friday, 2/8.  Stop by their table with any questions.

8.  5th Quarter Fridays happening February 8 & 15 after HHS basketball games at Huron United Methodist Church from 9-11pm.  Stop by for pizza, pop, music & games!

9.   From the Huron Public Library:

If you are feeling stressed, anxious, or depressed, come to the Library for our Teen Talk program on Friday, February 8, where you can speak to a professional teen counselor for free.

Saturday, February 9, is Erie County Library Makers Day celebrating makers and creativity of all sorts. Stop by HPL for a chance to create a Valentine Make-and-Take craft, warm up with some hot chocolate at out Hot Chocolate Bar, and then see what makes your Library unique!

10.  Lunch today is bosco pizza sticks or a pizza calzone.
