HURON HIGH SCHOOL
ANNOUNCEMENTS - THURSDAY, 9/21/17

1.  Congratulations to Jacob Moncher who earned 1st team SBC Boys Golf and to Jared Monak, and Tim Delahunt for making 2nd team!

2.  Final orders for Crucial Catch t-shirts will be taken during lunches today.  T-shirts are $8.  These will be worn at the October 6th home football game.  All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.

3.  The Huron Tiger Football Program along with Sandusky St. Mary CC will be hosting our annual Victory Day on Saturday, September 23, from 2-3:30PM at the Stadium.  The program gives kids with disabilities the chance to participate in a simulated football game complete with our own Huron High School Band and Cheerleaders.  Stop out and help support all of our students.  We are accepting canned food donations for the event. 

4.  Students, on Monday all cars will be checked for a student parking pass.  Any car without a 17/18 pass - the student will be issued a detention.

5.  We are looking for a tutor to work with a 5th grade student in Math and Language Arts.  Compensation will be provided.  Any interest,  please contact Mr. James


6.  Attention all Seniors who are at least 17 and are in good standing: The Erie County Board of Elections is again hiring poll workers for the November 7 General Election.  If accepted, students are paid $112 to work all day, and will have to miss school and activities that day.  Please see Mrs. Merckens for an application by the end of the day today.  Completed applications are due back by Monday, Sept. 25.

7.  Presale tickets for tonight's football game at Margaretta are on sale in the high school office.  Tickets are $5 in advance.

8.  Attention Speech and Debate Club members: 
Mr. Amstutz will be back Monday, immediately after school, to meet with you in the Tiger Union.  He is bringing sample speech scripts and will be providing guidance for those interested in debate. Please plan on attending.

9.  Cedar Point is looking for ride operators for the remainder of HalloWeekends through October 29th.  You must be at least 16 years old for this position. You can earn $8.35 per hour plus $1.00 per hour bonus (for working HalloWeekends through October 29th).  Submit your application online today at www.cedarpoint.com/jobs - select job preference 606.

Cedar Point will also be here for a lunch visit on Thursday, September 28th, looking for students interested in working HalloWeekends.  Stop by their table if that might interest you.
