HURON HIGH SCHOOL
ANNOUNCEMENTS - FRIDAY, 9/8/17

1.  There is a need for 2 program sellers for tonight's home football game.  Program sellers meet Amy Springer at the 50/50 tent at 5:30pm.  You will sell programs through the first half
of the first quarter.  Both volunteers will get into game free, receive a free dinner and earn community service hours!  Stop into the office to see Mr Camella if you are interested. 

2.  Picture day for underclassmen will be Monday, 9/11, with Ripcho Studio.  Please remember to bring your order form with you on Monday if you plan on placing an order.  Extras are available in the high school office.

Monday, 9/11, will be vision & hearing screening for all new students and freshmen.  If you wear glasses, please bring them with you to school.  Juniors will also have hearing screening.  The nurse will be located in the old guidance office by the band room.

3. 
Teen Leadership Corp is collecting practical items to aide in the relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey. We ask that you bring new sharpies and masking tape to Mrs. Bender’s room. The collection drive ends September 15th.  Please help us aide those devastated in Houston.

4. We have two extra yearbooks available for sale in the high school office. The cost is $65.

Attention: Anyone interested in joining Huron's NEW speech and debate club will need to report for a BRIEF meeting, directly after school Monday, September 18th, in the Union.  Those who cannot attend will need to let Mr. Lamb know they are interesting in joining the speech and debate club before Monday, September 18th

6.  "A Crucial Catch" fundraiser t-shirt forms are available in the high school office if you are interested in ordering one.  The shirts will be worn for the October 6th game vs Oak Harbor.  Orders must be submitted to Lucky Stone by September 19th!  ALl proceeds go to the American Cancer Society!

7.  New Scholarship added to Naviance:
BCSN Scholarship Project Fund - Scholar of the Month and Scholar of the Year scholarships available to college bound seniors with a 3.0 GPA or above, who demonstrate strong character and financial need.  Be sure to take note of individual monthly deadlines and submit applications to the Guidance office.
8.  The following colleges/universities will be visiting Huron High School. If you would like to meet with their representative - you must sign up through Naviance.
