  1. 1.    The first school dance for the year will be held today from 2:45 - 4:30. Tickets will be sold for $5.00 during lunch. It will be called "One Last Luau" with a beachy end of summer theme so you are encouraged to wear Hawaiian shirts, hats, flip-flops or sandals and sunglasses to the dance. 

    2.    Honor Society members are reminded to bring their gallon of lemonade or punch, and their 3 dozen cookies to Mrs. Aber's room today.

    3.    Reminder that students must be at school by 7:59 in order to participate in extracurricular activities that day unless a doctor’s excuse is presented.  Any questions, see Mr. Carter. 

    4.    Last call for 8th graders interested in participating in The Martian Book Club. Pick up a book from Mrs. LaCrosse and be ready to meet next Friday at lunch.

    5.    Congratulations to the 7th grade volleyball team who beat Edison last night.

    6.     All 7th and 8th grade volleyball players come to Mrs. Browns room during Channel One this morning 

    7.    Show your Tiger Pride during Spirit Week!!  Spirit Week is next week September 11tth -15th.  Monday is Red, White, and Blue Day.  You must wear all 3 colors to get points for your class. Tuesday is Twin Day.  Wednesday is Superhero Day.  Thursday is Jersey Day and Friday is Red and Gray Day.  The winning homeroom will get a pizza party!

    8.    The Huron Public Library Staff want to wish you a great school year. Come to the Library with a parent and get your free library card to kick the year off on the right foot. September is National Library Card Sign up Month.

    Craft Corner at the Huron Public Library is Thursday, September 14 at 4:30 pm. This fall we will be having fun with creative drawing techniques! Registration required. 

    Teen Library Council at the Huron Public Library is a group of 7th- 12th graders who care about their library. Join them as they design programs for teens, assist in book/movie selections, and run programs for younger kids. After-hours and special TLC events happen all year too! Community Service hours awarded for attendance and volunteer participation. Fill out an application today call for more information. Next meeting: Friday, September 15 at 3 pm.
