Announcements - Tuesday, 1/16/18

1.  Seniors your deadline to turn in community service hours to qualify for the Diploma of Distinction, has been extended to Wednesday, January 17.  You must have 50 hours of community service and no more than 25 hours can be sport related.  Please turn all hours into Mrs. Bengele in the high school office.  If you have questions about your current amount turned in, please see Mrs. Smith in the counseling office.

2.  Huron divers competed in the SBC swimming and diving competition last week  in Oak Harbor. Placing first for the girls, with a new school and Bay Division record of 424.00 points was Jordan Wood. Emma Kerro was close behind in 2nd place. First place for the boys was Nick Wasiniak. Congratulations!

3.  Attention any student interested in participating in the EHOVE Shadow Day:  Please see Mrs. Fahr in the Counseling Office by the end of this week. Your deadline for permission slips is Wednesday 1/17.

4.   Please check the lost and found table for any missing items.  It's located beneath the Freshman bulletin board.


5.  Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program - Scholarship award of $1000 available to graduating seniors.  Essay requirement and full details are available on Naviance.
 
6. Teen writers have an opportunity to meet and work with local author Rob Smith as he presents "The Writer's Imagination" on Fridays, January 19, February 2 and 16, and March 2 at 3:30pm.  Want to work on your writing style and strength?  Register on the Library's website or call 419-433-5009

Teen Library Council's meeting has been moved to Sunday, January 21, at 1:30pm.

7.  Lunch today is mini corn dogs.
