1. Students are reminded to turn in the paperwork that was mailed home: Vaccination records for 7th grade, acceptable use policy, emergency medical and photo release.
2. Reminder to students going to the Library, Gathering Grounds, or other destinations after school: Please be respectful of our neighbors and do not cut through yards. Please use the sidewalks and go around the block.
3. Reminder that students must be at school by 7:59 in order to participate in extracurricular activities that day unless a doctor’s excuse is presented.
4. On Wednesday, September 5th, Ripcho Studio will be at McCormick to take pictures. Please bring your completed form with payment on picture day to give to the photographer. You can also prepay for pictures online.
5. Attention all 7th and 8th grade Academic Challenge Members, our first practice will be TODAY from 2:45 - 3:30 in Mrs. Rowen's room, room 207. All members are expected to attend. See Mrs. Rowen if you have any questions.
6. Attention student council members, our first meeting of the year will be held Thursday during 8th grade lunch in room 207. 8th grade members, once you have your lunch, come to Mrs. Rowen's room. 7th grade members, sign out from your homeroom and then report to room 207.
7. McCormick Honor Society - last call to members to nominate themselves to be officers. I will complete the slate and we will vote tomorrow during Channel One or as you come in to school from Math at the High School.
8. Keep your eyes peeled for the sign-up sheets for selling tickets for the dance September 7th. Also, let Mrs. Aber see those posters you've made for the dance. They need to be put up, too.
9. Attention 7th and 8th graders! The Beach Bash dance -- the first dance of the school year -- will be Friday, September 7th from 2:45 - 4:30 in the McCormick Gym. Tickets will go on sale for $5 on September 4th.
10. Power of the Pen will have its first meeting this Friday, right after school in Mrs. Aber's room, from 2:40 - 3:30. Power of the Pen is all about writing short stories to a prompt. Also, there are snacks. Hope to see you there.
11. Congrats to the 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams who defeated Oak Harbor last night! Great job girls!!
