1. There will be a mandatory meeting for anyone playing varsity football next season on Wednesday, May 22 at 6PM in the HHS Cafeteria. Please see Coach Hohler if you have any questions.
2. This past weekend both boys and girls track and field teams finished as District runner-ups, qualifying 15 athletes in 17 events to the Regional Championships.
Beau Harkelroad is a District Champion in all four events he was a part of; he broke the District record in the 110 hurdles twice, climbing to the 2nd fastest time in school history. He broke the District record in the 300 hurdles, and was part of the winning 4x200 and 4x100 relay teams along with Andrew Delaney, Joe Schaeffer, and Austin Brunow, breaking both District records in those events.
Joe Schaeffer is the District Champion in the 400m dash, and also advanced in the 200m dash.
Jake Case advanced in the 1600m dash, placing 4th, and Sage Edgerly-Bork advanced in the 3200m dash, finishing as the District runner-up.
The girls 4x200 and 4x100 relays teams of Megan Harkelroad, Jayci Schmidt, Kaylee Parker, and Eliana Cozzie advanced. Jadyn Towns is District Champion for both the 1600m and 800m dash, as well as Sam Lesnak in both the 1600m and 800m. Megan Harkelroad advanced in the 300 hurdles, placing 4th. Eliana Cozzie advanced in the 200m, placing 4th, and Rylie Towns is the District Champion in the 3200m dash. Finally, the girls 4x400 team of Jadyn Towns, Olivia Kohlmann, Sam Lesnak, and Eliana Cozzie, breaking the District record and winning the event.
