1. Today’s lunch is assorted pizzas and a fresh salad bar.
2. This week's student of the week is Abby Synowka. Her teachers describe her as a hard worker who always completes her work to the best of her ability, as well as being respectful, kind, and engaged in class. Fantastic job Abby, keep it up!
3. Woodlands Elementary needs student volunteers for their Family Game night next Tuesday, February 11th 6-6:45pm. You can earn service hours for helping with this event. Please let Samantha Laffay or Mrs. Studer in the office know if you’d like to volunteer.
4. Important! Attention all seniors! In order to earn the college ready seal on your diploma you must earn the following ACT scores:
English- 18
Reading -22
Math- 22
If you achieved these scores over one or multiple test sessions (superscore), you can earn the seal. To have the seal added to your transcript: Log into your ACT. org account, take a screen shot of your SUPERSCORE and send it in an email to Ms. Scherley by the end of the day today.
5. Attention all girls interested in playing high school soccer this fall! There will be a meeting for players and parents with the varsity coaches on Monday, February 10th in the HS cafeteria from 6:30-7:30pm to discuss the upcoming season, expectations, and important information. If you’re a returning player or thinking about joining the program, please plan to attend.
6. TLC’s Huron Hobby Hop will be taking place on Thursday, Feb. 13 during the last two hours of the school day. Our school will be running on a shortened class schedule that day. If you are here for 8th period, you are required to be in attendance for the Hobby Hop. If you are not here during 8th period, you are welcome to join us.
Session rosters have been posted in the cafeteria and near the office. Each student has been assigned to four different topics, one for each session time. Find your name in the rosters that are posted, and jot down or take a picture of the location and time of each of your sessions! If you cannot find your name, it may be misspelled, so look for something that could pass as your name! We had some problems with the transfer of handwritten names to a google doc. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Lee, Joslyn Dete, or Julia Brown.
