December 10th, 2024


1. The Huron High Boys Basketball team is having a “Purple Out” game in honor of Evelyn Bauer on Wednesday, January 11th. Be sure to order your shirt by January 4th from Bennetts Novelties on Cleveland Rd., across from Sawmill. There will also be order forms available in the main office. 


2. This week kicks off our Winter Spirit Week! Be sure to join the fun and dress as your favorite holiday movie on Wednesday, break out that ugly sweater on Thursday and roll out of bed cozy in your holiday pajamas on Friday! We look forward to seeing everyone in their Santa Hats and holiday socks today! 


3. Reminder to students that we have Student Athletic passes on sale in the high school office.  $30 gets you into 10 home athletic events.


4. This is the last week for TLC's shoe drive! Keep bringing those shoes into your 5th period class through Friday, December 13th. With one week left, Mrs. Lee's class has taken the lead, followed by North Point and Blevins. 


5. Don’t forget today, a Coast Guard representative will be in the cafeteria for a lunch visit to answer questions and speak with students interested in future enlistment opportunities. Also, on Thursday, December 12th, a representative from the Army will be in the cafeteria for a lunch visit as well.


6. The HCEA is accepting hat, glove & sock donations through December 20th. The donation bin is located in the high school main office. 


7. The Chemo Care Package Campaign is a fundraiser that aims to create care packages for children and their families undergoing cancer treatment during the holiday season. TLC has teamed up with Huron alumni Abigail and Hannah Miller who started this campaign nine years ago.  Please bring in new items to your 5th period class for the kids who are battling cancer at the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, and the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Items will be tallied, and the winning 5th period class will be given a reward after Christmas break! Items can be donated from now until December 18th.
