1. State testing for 8th grade math is today and tomorrow. Algebra 1 End of Course Exam is on May 8th and 9th. Please make sure you are at school and on time for your testing dates.

2. If you were invited to the Academic Dinner, your money is due to the office by Monday, May 8th.

3. 7th and 8th grade Student Council members will be meeting tomorrow during 8th grade lunch to finalize the end of the year dance and work on the song list. Any student who has song suggestions should pass those along to your student council representatives.

4. Boys soccer lifting is cancelled this week.

5. Huron Public Library - TLC After-Hours Event is this Friday at the Library from 6 pm - midnight. Members must pick up a permission slip at the Adult Desk at the Library, and RSVP to Ms Carol by Thursday. Our theme is Cinco de Mayo!

6. Free Comic Book Day at the Huron Public Library is Saturday, May 6th, for all ages. The day-long event will continue while supplies last

7. Power of the Pen: State Tournament writers will meet after school on Thursday to review information and prepare.

8. McCormick Junior Honor Society officers please let Mrs. Aber know if you will be presenting the scholarship at the awards ceremony.

9. For any students interested in swimming for junior or senior high next year, there will be a meeting in the High School cafeteria tomorrow evening at 7:30 pm. This meeting is for swimmers and their parents and will last approximately 30 minutes.

10. Please remember to support the collection for the Humane Society. Boxes and items needed and points are posted in each homeroom. The deadline is May 10th. The puppies and kittens are looking forward to your generosity.

11. Any 7th grader who is interested in being a part of the Academic Challenge Team for next year, please report to room 207 during study hall for a brief meeting after the student of the month assembly.

12. All 8th graders are invited to Young Life Club on Thursday. Young Life is a Christian Youth Group for high school students but Thursday is a special 8th grade night. Come have fun with your friends at this get together at the Wiseman’s home, 3914 Jane Avenue. The Huron High School students will be running this fun event. It starts at 8 pm and will last about an hour.”
