Thursday, October 27
1. Are you an artist? Would you like design this year's yearbook cover? If so, draw your own original cover. Write McCormick Jr. High 2016-2017 at the top. Put the drawing on blank computer paper 8.5 by 11 inches. Submit your drawing in color to Mr. Maleski or Mrs. Brown by Friday, Oct. 28th. The students of McCormick will vote for the winner.
2. Ripcho Studio will be here for picture retakes on Monday, October 31st at 9:00am. If you were absent on picture day in September, plan to have your picture taken. Order forms are in the office if you need one. If you have received your pictures and are not happy with them, please remember to bring those with you on October 31st so you may have your picture re-taken.
3. The Boo Bash costume and dance party will be tomorrow from 2:45-4:30 so come ready to dance off the school week and have a Boo Blast. Tomorrow morning, all students will enter by way of the front door to have your costume checked for school appropriateness. Check the Boo Bash poster for the rules of appropriate costumes.
4. Tickets for the Boo Bash dance will be sold through Friday during both lunches. The cost is $5 per ticket. Today’s ticket sellers are: during 8th grade lunch: Blair Petee, Luke Lagando & Aiden Kastor: during 7th grade lunch: Nate Witte, Luke Steuk, Elijah Routh & Emily Franks.
5. One of the groups in Mrs. LaCrosse’s 8th grade extension class is looking for about 15 empty 2-liter bottles for a project. Anyone who has one and would like to donate, please drop off the bottles to room 201. Thank you!
6. 7th and 8th Girls open gym/tryouts will start Monday October 31st from 3:00-4:30.
7. Junior Honor Society members remember to bring your 3 dozen cookies and check your job responsibilities for the dance tomorrow.
8. Student Council members remember to bring in a gallon each of Hawaiian Punch and Water and check your job responsibilities for the dance tomorrow.
9. Power of the Pen writing club -- We will meet a week from Friday, Nov. 4th. Plan for it!
10. The swim team does not have practice today. There will be practice on Monday.
