1. Seniors new scholarship posting:
BUCKEYE BROADBAND BCSN SCHOLARSHIP – The
Erie County Community Foundation is offering a Scholar of the Month and Scholar
of the Year Scholarship available to college bound seniors who will be
attending an accredited school of higher education in the fall of 2017. Students maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or
above, who demonstrates strong character and financial need will be
considered. Stop into the Guidance
office for applications and deadlines.

2. Our girls and boys cc teams competed at the Galion Cross Country
Invitational this weekend. The girls placed 4th out of 27 teams and the
boys placed 11th of 19 teams. For the girls, Grace Moser moved to the
2nd spot on the record board for sophomores, running 19:36
and finishing fourth out of 183 runners. Only 4 female runners in
Huron history have run faster. Cassie Currence broke into the top ten
for junior girls. Her time of 20:29
makes her the 9th fastest junior in Huron history. Kayla Wash, Siera
Enderle, Meredith Mast, and Kassidy Brown ran personal best times on
Saturday.For the boys, Nathan Pack was 19th out of 133 runners and first for the Tigers with a personal best time of 17:09.
This places Nathan in the record books as he captured the 10th fastest
time for a junior boy. Caleb Witter, Ronnie Eytchison, Scot Fisher,
John Litz, Nathan Lehman, and Aidan McCall ran personal best times as
well. Congratulations to all runners.
3. Attention Seniors in good standing: You may apply to work at the election polls on Tuesday, November 8. Please see Mrs. Merckens in room 206 for an application and with any questions.

Attention Students: The following colleges/universities will be visiting the week of September 19th and sign-ups are available now in the Guidance office:
9/20 - University of Akron 10am
9/21 - University of Mount Union 8am
9/21 - Tiffin University 12:45pm
9/22 - University of Cincinnati 8:30am
Reminder: Please sign up no later than the day before a visit to ensure you have reserved your spot!
