1. Today’s lunch is Cheeseburger

2. Steam club will meet tomorrow in Mr. Haplea’s room. Any seventh or eighth graders are invited. We meet from 2:45 to 4:15. We have a fun engineering challenge for this Friday! See you Friday for STEAM Club.

3. Tomorrow, Sargent Matt Gainer will be our Future Friday’s presenter. Please wait to be called to the auditorium.

4. If you are going on the St. Peter retreat, a permission slip needs to be turned into the office so the absence will be excused.

5. Order forms for “A Crucial Catch” pink t-shirt to wear to the home football game on Friday, October 7th are in the office. Orders are to be placed through Lucky Stone.

6. Parent-teacher conferences are on Thursday, October 6th from 3:00pm-7:00pm. Parents should call the office to schedule a conference

7. FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:
Check out TEENtober at the Huron Public Library this October! TEENtober is a nationwide celebration of teens and teen programs at the Library. Find a new activity after school each week during October in the YA area. This week, you can use the Library's collection of board games and card games.  

Work on your strategic thinking by practicing Chess with chess master Paul Sherwood on Sunday, October 2, at 1 pm. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.

Find Library staff in the pumpkin painting tent at the annual Pumpkin Festival celebration, hosted by Huron’s Parks & Recreation Department. This event is fun for the whole family and a great way to see our community all together. Don’t forget the Barnes’ Pumpkin Drop at 2:30 pm!

Love crocheting or want to learn how? Meet up and share current yarn projects, get help from Library staff, or just enjoy being in the company of other crafters at the NEW Stitch Niche: Crochet Club. The next meeting is on Tuesday, October 11 at 3 pm. Bring your own yarn or use ours!
