1. Students who were invited to the academic dinner: Payment is due to the office TODAY. Please give your rsvp/payment to Mr. Roth or Mr. Haplea in the morning when they are collecting lunch money and forms for the office.

2. Students that are in Mrs. LaCrosse's seventh period a science class need to come to her room for study hall today. Be sure to have all your materials for seventh period class. Again, Mrs. LaCrosse is seventh period Science class needs to go to her room for study hall today.

3. Over the weekend, the boys and girls track teams competed in the Sandusky Bay Conference Championships. The girls team finished fifth overall. The boys team finished second. Joseph Schaeffer broke his own school record and the SBC Championship meet record in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.90 seconds. He is the record holder for both the 100 and 200 at McCormick!  Great job to all athletes this season!

4. This Friday, our Future Friday’s presenter is Bob Lippert, Huron Police Dept. 

5. Anyone interested in a babysitting certification class on Saturday, May 14th, can pick up an information flyer in the office. The cost is $20 and is limited to only 20 participants so please don't wait!

6. The end of the year dance is May 20th from 6:00-8:00. Tickets are $5.00 and will be sold during lunches May 17-20. Remember to turn in your “rules & expectations” form in order to purchase a ticket. 

7. Did you forget to order a yearbook and would like to have one? Ask Mr. Maleski to put your name on the list for one of the extra copies. The cost is $25.00 and you will need to bring payment with you on the last day of school. If you have questions, see Mr. Maleski.

8. FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:
Calling all poetry enthusiasts living or working in the 44839 zip code! Submissions for this year's 44839: Poetry Contest will be accepted until the end of May and select winners have a chance to receive cash prizes and get their poems published in the next volume of the 44839: Poetry from a Zip Code anthology. Find full rules for submission on huronlibrary.org.

Have you always wanted your books to be a little more...exciting? Check out a NEW Teen Book Box full of items to enhance your reading experience. Pick your book and then take it to the Circulation Desk to receive a box full of goodies associated with various parts of the story. The best part is, you return the book and the box and keep the rest! Find book selections in the YA area of the Library today. For Grades 9 - 12.

Children's books are for everyone! Celebrate the art of children's picture books during Children's Book Week from Monday, May 2 to Sunday, May 8. Find special displays, activities, bookmarks, and more! 

If you're looking for a more fast-paced game join fellow players for Euchre Night on Wednesday, May 11 starting at 6 pm in the AV area of the Library. Learn the game or come for practice. Open to teens and adults.
