1. LUNCH MENU: today-Pizza Calzone
2. REMINDER: If you are not at school before 8:00 or provide a medical excuse, you can not go to practice or participate in extracurricular activities.
3. REMINDER: If you are not buying breakfast in the morning, you are not to be in the cafeteria. Go to the auditorium.
4. The lost and found is located in the back of the auditorium. If you a missing something, please check there.
5. Attention 7th & 8th grade girls who are interested in playing basketball for McCormick. There will be an informational meeting during Study Hall on Tuesday, October 27 in the Auditorium. Tryouts will begin next week on Thursday, October 28 and Friday, October 29 from 3:00-5:00 pm in the gymnasium. Please see Ms. Jackson or Ms. Taraschke if you have any questions
6. Junior High school basketball cheer clinic & tryouts will be held at Woodlands on Monday 10/25 and Tuesday 10/26 from 5:00pm to 6:15pm.
All forms must be completed in order to participate in the clinic and tryouts. Packets are available in the office.

TEENtober is a NEW, nationwide celebration hosted by libraries every October. In honor of TEENtober, teens can check out a new activity each week after school in the YA area. Stop by this week for a Snack Session (free snacks of course)!
Like writing? Write your part of the story for our Library collection with Huron Stories: Community Journals! Each journal has a special topic– including Pet Stories, Sketches, and even Something Scary. Read what others wrote, add your own entry, and then check out another one. Once a journal is full, it will be placed on our shelves for others to enjoy for years to come! All ages are welcome to participate. Find the display in the main lobby.
Work on your strategic thinking by practicing Chess with chess master Paul Sherwood on Tuesday, October 19 at 6 pm. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.
NEW THIS FALL! Older readers in Grade 6 - 8 can check out the Young Readers Club. This club also meets monthly, but reads book selections created for older students. This month's book is Kingston and the Magician's Lost and Fund by Rucker Moses & Theo Gangi. The next Young Readers Club is Wednesday, October 20 at 6 pm.
