2. REMINDER: If you are not at school before 8:00 or provide a medical excuse, you can not go to practice or participate in extracurricular activities.

3. The lost and found is located in the back of the auditorium. If you a missing something, please check there.

4. At the SBC Cross Country meet on Saturday, almost every runner had their season best times. The boys team ran their best races of the season, with Sage Edgerly-Bork placing second in the Bay division. The girls team was able to bring home the runner-up team trophy. Rylie Towns placed second overall in the Bay division. Another first-team SBC finish was made by Liz Heidl. Olivia Kohlmann also earned second-team SBC honors. What a great end to the season for both teams!

5. FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:
TEENtober is a NEW, nationwide celebration hosted by libraries every October. In honor of TEENtober, teens can check out a new activity each week after school in the YA area. Stop by this week for a Snack Session (free snacks of course)!

Like writing? Write your part of the story for our Library collection with Huron Stories: Community Journals! Each journal has a special topic– including Pet Stories, Sketches, and even Something Scary. Read what others wrote, add your own entry, and then check out another one. Once a journal is full, it will be placed on our shelves for others to enjoy for years to come! All ages are welcome to participate. Find the display in the main lobby.

Work on your strategic thinking by practicing Chess with chess master Paul Sherwood on Tuesday, October 19 at 6 pm. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.

NEW THIS FALL! Older readers in Grade 6 - 8 can check out the Young Readers Club. This club also meets monthly, but reads book selections created for older students. This month's book is Kingston and the Magician's Lost and Fund by Rucker Moses & Theo Gangi. The next Young Readers Club is Wednesday, October 20 at 6 pm.
