REMINDER:  There is no school for students tomorrow, Friday, October 8.

2. Attention McCormick Junior Honor Society Members. There will be a meeting in the auditorium TODAY during 8th grade study hall.

3. Attention Student Council members, please check google classroom for an important update. Our next meeting will be Monday, October 11th during 8th grade lunch

4. Steam Club will meet on Friday, October 15th. Keep listening for details on our awesome activity planned for that day!

5. Parent Teacher Conferences are TODAY from 3:00pm-7:00pm. Parents are reminded to call the office to schedule an appointment.

6. Attention students who plan to attend the St. Pete’s Retreat: Your permission form must be turned in to our office prior to the absence. All absences must be approved so that your tests and homework may be made up. You are responsible for making up all missed work.

7. FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:
The Huron Public Library is extending our hours beginning on Monday, October 4! New hours of operation will be: 9:30 am - 8:30 pm Monday through Thursday, 9:30 am - 5 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 1 - 5 pm on Sundays.

TEENtober is a NEW, nationwide celebration hosted by libraries every October. In honor of TEENtober, teens can check out a new activity each week after school in the YA area. This week's activity is board and card games. Stop by the check it out!

Write your part of the story for our Library collection with Huron Stories: Community Journals! Each journal has a special topic– including Pet Stories, Sketches, and even Something Scary. Read what others wrote, add your own entry, and then check out another one. Once a journal is full, it will be placed on our shelves for others to enjoy for years to come! All ages are welcome to participate. Find the display in the main lobby.

Find the Library's tent at the Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, October 9 from 11 - 5 pm. Check out the festival, paint a pumpkin, and don’t forget the Barnes Pumpkin Drop at 2:30 pm!

Work on your strategic thinking by practicing Chess with chess master Paul Sherwood on Sunday, October 10 from 1 - 2 pm. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.
