  • Today’s lunch is Breakfast Wrap.

 

  • Students should not have energy drinks or coffee in classes or hallways.... it should be water. 

 

  • No one is allowed on the football field while practices are going on at the stadium.

 

  • Parent-Teacher conferences are today from 3:00-7:00pm.  Parents should call the office to schedule a conference.

 

  • McCormick Junior High School counseling staff will present information about bullying, harassment, and other aggressive behaviors at the Junior High School.  The presentation will be given at McCormick Junior High School’s auditorium tonight from 6:00-6:30 pm. We hope you and your parents can join us. 

 

  • The 7th & 8th grade Band concert is on March 14th at 7pm.  The 7th & 8th grade Choir concert is on March 15th at 7pm.

 

  • Cheer tryout packets are now available in the office. 

Junior high school tryouts for incoming freshman will be Monday, March 13th.  If you are trying out, please text Coach Janet for tryout material links.  
Incoming 7th and 8th graders have tryouts on Tuesday, March 14th at the Huron High School gymnasium. 

 

  • The 2022/2023 McCormick Junior High School yearbooks can be ordered online at ybpay.lifetouch.com.  The online deadline to order a yearbook is April 13th.

 

  • FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:

Read Across America Day is TODAY. This annual, nationwide reading celebration is for children of all ages. To celebrate, we’ve hidden golden tickets in a few classic library books for students in Kindergarten through Grade 6. Find a ticket and head to the Circulation Desk for a small prize.

 

Do you need an escape from reality? Enter the fantasy world with the Library's Dungeons & Dragons Meetup for Grades 7 -12. Join our D&D club and begin exploring worlds of mystery, magic, and game play. The first program this spring is on Saturday, March 4 from 10 am - 1:30 pm. Registration required.

 

If you prefer a more strategic game, play some Chess at the Library with chess master Paul Sherwood on Saturday, March 4 at 10 am. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.
