  • Today’s lunch is Spicy Chicken Strips.
  • No one is allowed on the football field while practices are going on at the stadium.
  • Attention 8th Graders: Be sure to check your email and complete the yearbook superlatives google form to vote for your classmates on final forms! Voting will end TODAY. 
  • STEAM Club will be this Friday in Mr. Haplea's room. Be there!  We meet from 2:45-4:15. Bring a pal.
  • This Friday, Gene Cappo, Owner/Sales, will be our future Friday’s presenter.  
  • Cheer tryout packets are now available in the office. 

Junior high school tryouts for incoming freshman will be Monday, March 13th.  If you are trying out, please text Coach Janet for tryout material links.  Incoming 7th and 8th graders have tryouts on Tuesday, March 14th at the Huron High School gymnasium. 

 

  • The 7th & 8th grade Band concert is on Tuesday, March 14th at 7pm.  The 7th & 8th grade Choir concert is on Wednesday, March 15th at 7pm. 
  • Friday, March 17th marks the end of the 3rd quarter grading period.  Please make sure fees are paid and overdue library books are returned to avoid your grade card from being withheld.  Obligations pass on to the next school year.
  • The 2022/2023 McCormick Junior High School yearbooks can be ordered online at ybpay.lifetouch.com.  The online deadline to order a yearbook is April 13th.
  • FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:

All ages are welcome to check out the final presentation of the winter Girls Who Code program at the Huron Public Library on Thursday, March 9 at 4 pm! See the winter participants share what they've made, play with our robot collection, and learn more about the club. 

 

If you prefer a more strategic game, play some Chess at the Library with chess master Paul Sherwood on Sunday, March 12 at 1 pm. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.

 

March 14 is Pi Day! To celebrate, students that come to the Library after school can answer a few math questions and get some tasty snacks in return. 

 

Love crocheting or want to learn how? Meet up and share current yarn projects, get help from Library staff, or just enjoy being in the company of other crafters at the Stitch Niche: Crochet Club. The next meeting is on Tuesday, March 14 at 3 pm. Bring your own supplies or use ours. This club is for both teens and adults.
