  • Today’s lunch is Crispy Chicken.

 

  • This Friday, Gina McNea, Lawyer, will be our Future Friday’s presenter.

 

  • There will be a meeting during 8th grade lunch for all current junior honor society members today in room 207.  Let Mr. Lemponen and Mr. Haplea know so that you can get your lunch first.

 

  • Steam club this week will be on Friday in Mrs. Lacrosse‘s room from 2:45 to 4:15 PM. We will be working with robotics, drones, and 3D Printing. any seventh or eighth grade student is welcome to attend. See you there!

 

  • Attention this is a reminder to the 7th and 8th grade students who received an eligibility letter for McCormick Junior Honor Society, the deadline to turn in an application is Friday at 3pm. Applications must be turned in to the office, not to teachers. Applications received after 3pm on Friday will not be reviewed. Please see Mr. Maleski or Mrs. Rowen if you have any questions.

 

  • Any Student Council member who wants to work on our valentine activity should come to Mrs. Rowen's room during 8th grade lunch or study hall any day this week. 

 

  • Parent-Teacher conferences are on Tuesday, February 21, from 3:00-6:00pm and on Thursday, March 2, from 3:00-7:00pm.  Parents should call the office to schedule a conference.

 

  • There is a Huron Softball Clinic sponsored by the Huron High School Softball Team starting February 26th.  The cost is $35.00 and includes a T-shirt. If interested stop by the office for a flyer.

 

  • FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:

Have you participated in a previous Girls Who Code program at the Huron Public Library? Join the Girls Who Code Coding Ambassador Program to help new members learn about coding in a positive environment. Stop by the Youth Services Department at the Library if you're interested in helping out. Girls Who Code meet every Thursday until March. Attendance of every session is not required, but is highly encouraged. Registration required. 

 

Get warm at the Library this winter and play some Chess with chess master Paul Sherwood on Sunday, February 12 at 1 pm. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.

 

Pick your favorite adult and complete a craft with them this February with the Library's Adult & Me Activity! This special take & make craft offers age-appropriate kits for a child and an adult. Register for the child craft, the adult craft, or both to complete together! Kits are designed for kindergarten and up and available during operating hours on Monday, February 13. Registration required. 

 

Roses are red. Violets are blue. We've got a book that's just for you! Let the Library be your matchmaker with a Blind Date with a Book from Monday, February 13 until Saturday, February 25. Read the brief description to pick your date without seeing the book cover. There will be books for all ages.

 

We Love Our Patrons! The Library staff wants to do something special for our amazing patrons. Stop by the Library on Valentine’s Day and grab a few treats by the main Circulation Desk.
