1. Do not go to the cafeteria in the morning if you are not buying breakfast.

2. Attention track athletes: Today starts the first week of practice and it will be held at the high school. Please meet by the concession stand area. See Miss Dunn to sign up for the team Remind. Remember you need to have a physical on file in the office in order to participate.

3. Football cheer tryout packets are now available in the office for pick up.
Clinic and tryouts will be held March 21st through March 23rd at the high school gym 5:15pm to 6:30pm for incoming freshman.  3:15pm to 4:30pm for incoming 7th and 8th graders.   All paperwork must be completed in order to attend clinics and tryouts.

4. The Student Council meeting has been moved to Thursday during 8th grade lunch.

5. There will be an Honor Society meeting Tuesday during 8th grade study hall.

6. We will have STEAM Club this Friday in Mr. Haplea’s room. New members are welcome. We meet from 2:45-4:15. See you there!

7. 2021-2022 Yearbook order forms have been handed out. Orders can be placed by returning the form with payment to Mr. Maleski or order online at Jostensyearbooks.com. The order deadline has been extended and must be submitted by this Friday.

8. Erie MetroParks is excited to invite you to participate in the Ohio Wildlife Youth Art Contest! Scan the QR code on the flyers located around the building or visit eriemetroparks.org/ohio-wildlife-youth-art-contest for the entry form and contest rules

9. Are you and your parents taking extra time off during Spring Break? A vacation form needs to be submitted to the office prior to the absence so that Mr. Carter can approve the absence. Spring Break is March 14th -18th.

10. FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:
Love writing poetry? Students in Grades 7 - 12 are invited to submit poems in our Teen Poetry Contest for a chance to be published in the next volume of 44839: Poetry From a Zip Code, a local poetry book created annually. To submit poems, bring copies to the main Circulation Desk or email poems to [email protected]. Submit entries by Monday, March 21.

If you're looking for a more fast-paced, classic game, join fellow players for Euchre Night on Wednesday, March 13 starting at 6pm in the AV area of the Library. 

Or perhaps you want a more thoughtful activity? Work on your strategic thinking by practicing Chess with chess master Paul Sherwood on Sunday, March 13 starting at 1pm. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.

If you are looking for something to do for St. Patrick's Day, grab your green clothes and head to the Library on Tuesday, March 15 for some Live Music with The Moorhens Celtic Band. All ages are welcome to attend and celebrate. The show begins at 6:15pm and no registration is necessary.
