  • Today’s lunch is Nacho Grande. Monday’s lunch is Salisbury Steak.

 

  • The auditorium and the gym are not to be used to cut through from one side of the building to the other.  Use the hallways and walk around!  No one should be in the gym or the auditorium unless with a teacher.

 

  • Any student council member who has their money for our adopt a family project or the money order form for their t-shirt should turn that in to Mrs. Franks in the office today.

 

  • McCormick Jr. Honor Society members, please check google classroom for an important announcement.

 

  • Remember Holiday spirit week starts Monday with your holiday hats and socks. Join the the fun of the season and help your homeroom earn points.

 

  • Student Council will host a winter dance on Friday, Dec. 16th from 2:40-4:30. Tickets are $5 and will be sold at both lunches on Wednesday, Dec. 14 - Friday Dec. 16th

 

  • McCormick Jr Honor Society members, our secret Santa gift exchange will take place on Wednesday, Dec 14th at our meeting.

 

  • The lost and found is overflowing.  If you are missing something, please look in the lost and found located in the back of the auditorium.

 

  • Eric Wood, COO for O.E. Meyer, will be our Future Friday’s presenter today.

 

  • McCormick Jr. Honor Society is collecting items for OHgo December 1st – December 16th.  These items will be used to help fill shoe boxes for OHgo’s Project Happy this holiday season. Each homeroom will receive a box to donate items – the winning homeroom will get extra points for our holiday spirit week competition.

 

  • Chemo Care Package items can be donated until December 16th. Please bring in new items to your homeroom class for the kids who are battling cancer at Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, and the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. The winning homeroom class in each grade will be given a reward after Winter break! 

 

  • Please join Woodlands Intermediate School Rachel’s Challenge Team with their winter coat drive.  Donate new and gently used coats for Huron students and OHGO to assist families in need.  Coats will be collected through December 16th.  The collection box is located in the hall by the auditorium.

 

  • Huron City Schools are teaming with OH-GO again this year to give back.  Pack a shoebox with little Christmas gifts for a child in need. Wrap the shoebox and drop it off by December 16th.  For more information, pick up a brochure from the office or go to: www.ohgoreach.org.   • If you are planning to take extra days off during Winter Break, a vacation form needs to be completed and turned into the office.

 

  • FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:

Join in on a holiday-themed Dungeons & Dragons session on Saturday, December 10 from 10 am - 1:30 pm. Design a unique character and embark on a quest through a blizzard of snow. Holiday snacks will be served for those of good cheer. This program requires registration and is designed for Grades 6 - 12. 

 

Join the next Teen Library Council monthly meeting on Monday, December 12 at 4 pm to share your ideas to improve the Library and the community. Earn service or volunteer hours by participating. Current members and new members are both welcome. Visit huronlibrary.org for all the details.

 

Play some Chess at the Library with chess master Paul Sherwood on Tuesday, December 13 at 6 pm. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.

 

Do you love to crochet, or would you like to learn how? Meet up and share current yarn projects, get help from Library staff, or just enjoy being in the company of other crafters at the Stitch Niche: Crochet Club for teens and adults. The next meeting is Tuesday, December 20 at 3 pm.
