  • Today’s lunch is Hot Dogs.

 

  • Ms. T's groups will not meet this week. We will resume meeting next week.

 

  • Student Council members, please check Google classroom for a recap of yesterday's meeting.

 

  • The 7th grade girls had their first loss of the season last night 34-16 against Perkins. Reece Hotz scored 8 points to lead the team, Eliza Steinkopf contributed offensively with a number of offensive rebounds and 2 points. Their next game is Thursday at Oak Harbor.

    8th grade girls also lost a close game to Perkins last night, 22-27. Jenna Cox put in 10 points, Meredith James 5, and Kiera Westerhold 3.  They play following the 7th grade next Thursday at oak harbor. 

 

  • McCormick Jr. Honor Society is collecting items for OHgo December 1st – December 16th.  These items will be used to help fill shoe boxes for OHgo’s Project Happy this holiday season. Each homeroom will receive a box to donate items – the winning homeroom will get extra points for our holiday spirit week competition.

 

  • Chemo Care Package items can be donated until December 16th. Please bring in new items to your homeroom class for the kids who are battling cancer at Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, and the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. The winning homeroom class in each grade will be given a reward after Winter break! 

 

  • Huron City Schools are teaming with OH-GO again this year to give back.  Pack a shoebox with little Christmas gifts for a child in need. Wrap the shoebox and drop it off by December 16th.  For more information, pick up a brochure from the office or go to: www.ohgoreach.org.   • If you are planning to take extra days off during Winter Break, a vacation form needs to be completed and turned into the office.

 

  • FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:

Play some Chess at the Library with chess master Paul Sherwood on Sunday, December 4 at 1 pm. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.

 

Do you love to crochet, or would you like to learn how? Meet up and share current yarn projects, get help from Library staff, or just enjoy being in the company of other crafters at the Stitch Niche: Crochet Club for teens and adults. The next meeting is Tuesday, December 6 at 3 pm.

 

Teens in Grades 7 - 12 can visit the Library on Tuesday, December 6 from 6 - 7:30 pm to find a Homemade Gift Workshop for DIY holiday gift-making including: jewelry, candles (from Firelands Wax), spa kits, ornaments, soup mixes, and card-making. Supplies for gift-wrapping will also be provided. No registration necessary.

 

Or perhaps you'd prefer to get lost in a holiday fantasy? Join in on a holiday-themed Dungeons & Dragons session on Saturday, December 10 from 10 am - 1:30 pm. Design a unique character and embark on a quest through a blizzard of snow. Holiday snacks will be served for those of good cheer. This program requires registration and is designed for Grades 6 - 12.
