  • Today’s lunch is Chicken Tenders. 
  • Attention McCormick Jr. Honor Society members, there will be a meeting on Tuesday during 8th grade study hall. The meeting will take place in the auditorium. All members are expected to attend.
  • 7th grade girls won their opening game last Monday at Sandusky. The final score was 26-20. Adeline Van Sickle led all scorers with 12 points. Lizzie Perrin scored the final six points for the Tigers in the 4th. Their next game is at home on Tuesday against Vermilion at 4:30.

    8th grade girls lost their opening game last Monday at Sandusky 18-26. Jenna Cox scored 10 points, Makayla Enderle 6, and Lucy Hinners added 2.  Rylie Dehn contributed assists and impressive defense as did Chole Shaw and Sophie Weltle. Their next game is home on Tuesday vs. Vermillion following the freshman game. 
  • Lost something?  Please check the lost and found box located in the back of the auditorium.  There are many items in there!
  • Huron City Schools are teaming with OH-GO again this year to give back.  Pack a shoebox with little Christmas gifts for a child in need.   • If you are planning to take extra days off for Christmas, a vacation form needs to be completed and turned into the office. 
  • FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:

Help your neighbors before the holidays and lower your late fees with Food for Fines! Until the end of November, fines for an overdue Huron Public Library item will be waived in exchange for each donation. Feel free to donate even if you don’t have fines.


Like volunteering? Grades 7 - 12 can join the next Teen Library Council monthly meeting on Monday, November 28 at 4 pm to share your ideas to improve the Library and the community. New members are always welcome. Visit huronlibrary.org for more details.

 

The Library has a NEW Teen Tech Cart filled with cool tech like iPads and Chromebooks for teens in Grades 7 - 12 to borrow. Stop by after school on Wednesday, November 30 between 3 - 4:30 pm to try out some new tech like Spheros, Bloxels, digital instruments, sticker-makers, and more!

 

Looking for a great gift for a special someone? Look no further than the Library! The Friends of the Library are hosting a holidayBook Sale during the weekend of our Holiday Open House. The Book Sale will be held from 12 - 4:30 pm on Friday, December 2; 1 - 4 pm on Saturday, December 3; and 1:30 - 4 pm on Sunday, December 4. Best of all, each donation directly supports the Library!

 

Join Library staff and the Board of Trustees for our annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 3 from 3 - 5 pm during the city of Huron's Winter Fest for music, refreshments, crafts, and more! The Library will be open from 12:30 - 5 pm to ensure that patrons can stay warm while they wait for the Winter Fest fireworks at 6 pm.

 

Play some Chess at the Library with chess master Paul Sherwood on Sunday, December 4 at 1 pm. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.
