1. Today’s lunch is Mini Corn Dogs.

2. For tonight’s home playoff football game, tickets will only be sold online. No tickets will be sold at the gate. To purchase tickets you must go to www.ohsaa.org/tickets. Once here click on football, then go to Division V (5) region 18. Now select the Huron/Edison game. Ticket prices are $8 for students and $10 for adults.

3. To honor Red Ribbon Week the National Junior Honor Society will include a fact about what Red Ribbon Week is all about. Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October in the United States.

Today’s fact:
Teens who consistently learn about the risks of drugs from their parents are up to 50% less likely to use drugs than those who don't.

4. Grade cards will be distributed today. Fees need to be paid and overdue library books returned.

5. Student Council is sponsoring a Halloween Costume contest on Monday, October 31st. Prizes will be given for Scariest, Most Detailed, Best Group, Funniest, Most Original and Best Overall. No weapons or face paint permitted.

6. 7th Grade boys basketball try-outs will be held Monday, October 31st and Tuesday, November 1st from 4:30pm – 6:00pm in the gym. All players must have a current physical on file.

7. 8th Grade boys basketball try-outs will be held Monday, October 31st and Tuesday, November 1st from 3:00pm – 4:30pm in the gym. All players must have a current physical in the office by try-out date, no exceptions. Any questions see Mr. Demos.

8. 7th and 8th grade girls basketball tryouts will be held Monday, October 31st through Wednesday, November 2nd from 6-7:30pm at McCormick. Players must have a current physical on file.

9. FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:
Help your neighbors before the holidays and lower your late fees with Food for Fines! During the entire month of November, fines for an overdue Huron Public Library item will be waived in exchange for each donation (one unexpired or non-perishable food item per overdue item). Feel free to donate even if you don’t have fines.

If you prefer a more strategic game, play some Chess at the Library with chess master Paul Sherwood on Saturday, November 5 at 10 am. Come for fun or to improve your game. Open to all ages and abilities.

Love crocheting or want to learn how? Meet up and share current yarn projects, get help from Library staff, or just enjoy being in the company of other crafters at the NEW Stitch Niche: Crochet Club. The next meeting is on Tuesday, November 8 at 3 pm. Bring your own supplies or use ours.

There is still time to register for November's Teen Cooking Challenge! This popular program for Grades 7 - 12 continues with new, delicious recipe kits to try at home. Pick up a kit on Wednesday, November 9. Register fast because supplies are limited.
