WIS ANNOUNCEMENTS

Good morning today is Friday, October 21, 2022

The lunch menu for today is: Nachos with Meat and Cheese or a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich. You will also receive Seasoned Black Beans, Fruit Cup and Milk

Let’s keep Rachel’s Challenge alive. Make sure you are journaling regularly, accepting others and doing kind acts. Make sure you recognize those students that do kind acts by completing a chain link for them.

Our value word for the week is: Self-Reliance -  reliance on one's own powers and resources rather than those of others.

Kerry E. Wagner said - “You don’t have to worry about burning bridges, if you’re building your own.”

When you are given something from someone, never insult that person by making negative comments about the gift or by insinuating that it wasn’t appreciated. No matter how big or small or how valuable the gift is, one should always say thank you and show gratitude.

Last year the Huron Public Library hosted an activity where community members could submit poems they authored. Poems were then selected to be published in a book. Some of those authors were selected to read their poems at the library this week.  Congratulations to Woodlands students Hazel Boos, Avery Dangler, Jude Elliott and Blaire Johnson, they all submitted poems and were published in the book and were given the opportunity to read their poem this week at the library.
