  • Holiday spirit week: 

Today – Holiday Pajama Day. 

 

  • Student Council will host a winter dance this Friday, from 2:40-4:30. Tickets are $5 and will be sold at both lunches today.
  • If you are planning to take extra days off during Winter Break, a vacation form needs to be completed and turned into the office.
  • The 7th grade girls beat Willard last night 31-23. Reece Hotz scored 16 and Adelyn Vansickle helped with 11. They go into Christmas Break with a 3 and 3 record. 

    The 8th grade girls made an incredible 2nd half comeback in a loss to Willard last night 25-33.  Kiera Westerhold was the leading scorer with 8 points, which included two 3-pointers, and Jenna Cox added 6 points.
  • The Junior High Tiger Swim team traveled to Oak Harbor Wednesday for a quad meet with Oak Harbor, Port Clinton, Danbury and Clyde and came out 7-0 with many best times. 

Top placers for the Tigers were:
Rylie Towns, Claire Putman, Heidi Allen, Avery Dudziak, Addie Hoffman, Brynn Dennis, Colette Steuk, Aleah Bishop, Regan Hoffman, Lucas Rager, Georgie Dunlap, William Ferenczy, Peter Jitari, Stefan Jitari, Achilles Figueroa, Zachary Kuhl and Lucas Fries.
The swimmers and divers will compete this weekend at the Middle School championships in Port Clinton and Oak Harbor. 

 

  • McCormick Jr. Honor Society is collecting items for OHgo through today.  These items will be used to help fill shoe boxes for OHgo’s Project Happy this holiday season. Each homeroom will receive a box to donate items – the winning homeroom will get extra points for our holiday spirit week competition.
  • Please join Woodlands Intermediate School Rachel’s Challenge Team with their winter coat drive.  Donate new and gently used coats for Huron students and OHGO to assist families in need.  Coats will be collected through today.  The collection box is located in the hall by the auditorium.
  • Huron City Schools are teaming with OH-GO again this year to give back.  Pack a shoebox with little Christmas gifts for a child in need.   • FROM THE HURON PUBLIC LIBRARY:

Do you love to crochet, or would you like to learn how? Meet up and share current yarn projects, get help from Library staff, or just enjoy being in the company of other crafters at the Stitch Niche: Crochet Club for teens and adults. The next meetings are on Tuesday, December 20 at 3 pm and Tuesday, January 3 at 3 pm.

 

The Library will be CLOSED on Saturday, December 24 for Christmas Eve and Sunday, December 25 for Christmas Day.

Kick off the New Year with a fresh perspective and pass on some kindness! Stop by the Library between Monday, January 2 to Saturday, January 7 and pick from an array of random acts of kindness from the Kindness Campaign display to help spread a little extra kindness in the community. All ages can participate.
