2. Remember that Student Council will be taking carnation orders at both lunches this week Wednesday through Friday. Carnations are 1 for $2 or 2 for $3 and will be delivered on Feb. 12th. Order one for a friend, staff member, or that special someone. Thanks for supporting student council.

3. Congratulations to the Power of the Pen writers who represented McCormick Junior High at the District Tournament this past Saturday: Gabriella Sasala, Bridgette Winschel, Meredith Mast, Emma Kerro, Samantha Rogers, Dominic Donnelly, Connor Reis, Virginia Spitzley , and Andrew Koba, Kayla Walsh, Madelyn Dawkins, Miranda Lark, Gabrielle Hart, Terry Porter, Aubree Steinmetz, Matthew Toldy, and Hunter Warren. Meredith and Aubree won 5th place trophies for the 8th and 7th grade and all the writers did a great job.

4. Students who received a letter inviting them to fill out a Student Activity Information Form for potential membership in the National Junior Honor Society should pick up that form from the Main Office and complete and turn it in by Tuesday, February 17.

5. Seventh grade art club members will meet today after school.
