1. Are you and your parents taking extra days off for Christmas break? A vacation form needs to be submitted to the office prior to the absence, so that the absence can be approved by Mr. Carter.
2. Would you like to help design pages for the 2014-2015 yearbooks? If you are interested, there will be a meeting during your lunch period today. If you are in seventh grade, bring your lunch to Mr. Maleski's room at the beginning of the lunch period. If you are in eighth grade, bring your lunch to Mrs. Brown's room. If you are interested and cannot attend the meeting, please let Mr. Maleski or Mrs. Brown know today.
3. There will be an organizational meeting on Wednesday, December 10th for any boy interested in playing soccer next year as a freshman. Please report to the cafeteria at 2:50.
4. The Teen Library Council will have a holiday party and gift exchange Friday, December 12, at 3:30 pm at the Huron Public Library. Members may bring a friend, a gift, a treat to share and good cheer!
5. Sign up for the "Nightmare Before Christmas Scavenger Hunt" that will be held on Sunday, December 14, at 2 pm at the Huron Library. Get two friends to join your team to beat the other contestants. Prizes awarded. Food provided. Call or go to the library's website, huronlibrary.org to register.
6. Power of the Pen will meet today after school until 3:20, sharp, in Mrs. Aber's room 104. Come ready to write with your characters you've been creating.
7. Attention, girls interested in attending a softball skills clinic! The high school coaching staff and players are sponsoring a clinic to be held during January and February. More information is available in the wall pockets outside the office. Please stop by and pick up a copy if you are interested.
8. The junior high swim team boys beat Oak Harbor last night and the girls narrowly lost by 2 points. First place wins went to Ronnie Eytchison, Riley Roldan, Alec Wostmann, Creszens McCarthy, Anna Martello, Jay Lesnett, Nishaia Gerold, Samantha Rogers, Madison Monak, Presley Byrd, Sam Slutz, Mitchell Brown, Graeme Schwartz, Corinne Steuk, Max Hardy and Aidan McCall.
