Shawnee Student Honored for Courageous Act

Addison Graham was recognized at Tuesday’s board meeting for her courageous acts during a house fire. This fire happened late at night and her family was asleep. She was the first to hear the alarm and she “stopped, dropped and rolled” and woke her mother up. Her mother was then able to get the rest of her family to safety and contacted the fire department.

Addison’s courageous act proves that Fire Prevention Week can and did make a difference.
