HURON HIGH SCHOOL
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2015
1.  Congratulations to the Lady Tiger Golf Team as they captured the SBC Golf Tournament title yesterday at Eagle Creek in Norwalk.  With the win, they also secured the 2015 SBC Championship.  Kylie Gruelich earned medalist and 1st team all-tournament with a score of 73.  Also earning 1st team all-tournament were Julia Hippely (runner-up with a 79) and Rachel Stadler (88).  Caitlyn McNulty carded a season low 100 for 18 holes and Aubrey Baumler a 106.  Congratulations ladies!!

Presale tickets are on sale in the high school office for tonight's home football game vs Oak Harbor for $5.  All tickets at the gate will be $6.

If you will have turned 18 by Nov. 3, you can now register to vote.  Forms are due one month before the election, so please see Mrs. Merckens in room 206 for a registration form and return it by Friday, October 2.

Attention Juniors and Seniors who want to be members of National Honor Society: If you received notification that you are eligible to apply for NHS, please turn in your completed, word-processed application to the guidance office by 2:50 on Wednesday, September 30.

5.  On Monday we will have vision and hearing testing for current freshmen and new students.  Please remember to bring your glasses if you wear them!

6  Attention all Juniors planning on going on the class trip to Washington D.C.  There will be a mandatory meeting for you and your parents to attend on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.

7.  Homecoming tickets are on sale for $10.  If you're bringing a guest, you must have the proper paperwork prior to purchasing the ticket.  Reminder, no tickets will be sold at the door.

Ehove students may purchase Homecoming tickets in room 99 (library computer lab) in the morning this week.

8.  Attention all students who are taking a Bowling Green class 2nd semester but are not currently taking one this Fall:  You must RE-APPLY to BGSU Firelands on their website.  You will not be able to take a Spring College Credit Plus Course if you do not re-apply.  Your deadline for all applications is Friday Nov. 13th.

9.  Castaway Bay is hosting a hiring event Saturday from 10am-2pm.  They are looking for lifeguards, housekeepers, front desk, merchandise, etc.  Apply online at cedarpoint.com/jobs in advance or in person at the event.


10.  Any student interested in taking the PSAT test on October 14th are to sign up in the Guidance department by Thursday, October 8th.  The cost is $15.  Preferred payment would be with a check or money order.

11.  Lunch today is mini corn dogs or a buffalo chicken wrap.
