1. Don’t forget about the dance on Friday, March 6th, from 2:40-4:30; tickets will be sold March 4th through the 6th during both lunches. Tickets are $5 if purchased at lunch and $6 at the door. All proceeds will benefit Tim Dorsey in his fight against cancer. Come out and dance away the winter blues while supporting a great cause. See Mrs. Aber or Mrs. Rowen if you have any questions.

2. The yearbook sales’ deadline has been extended until Thursday, March 5th. Books can be ordered online or by filling out the order form and giving it to Mr. Maleski or Mrs. Brown.

3. From the Huron Public Library --
- Gaming Night at the Library, Tuesday, March 3rd at 6 pm.
- Teen Library Council for grades 7 through 12 meets this Friday, March 6th, at 3:30 pm. New members always welcome.
- Competitive Chess Club is forming at the Library - The first meeting is this Saturday, March 7th, at 1 pm. Registration is encouraged.
- Free Jazz concert with drummer Greg Bauman, Sunday, March 8th, at 3 pm at the Library.

4. Attention, eighth graders! Are you interested in high school cheerleading? A mandatory meeting for the cheerleading candidate and parent will be held on Thursday, March 19th, in the high school cafeteria at 6:00 PM. You and your parent must attend this meeting in order to try out the following week. Information is posted on the bulletin board outside the office and in the cafeteria.

5. Today’s Study Table is canceled.

6. Congratulations to the following students who participated in the OMEA District 2 Honors Choir Festival on Saturday: Silas Haplea, Casey Scroggins, Hunter Garbe, Grace Moser, Ethan Dueck, Matthew Toldy, Christian Scroggins, Miranda Lark, Katie Henry, and Dani Gang.

Congratulations to the following students who played in the OMEA district honors band: Hannah Brunow, Kylie Obergefell, Carl Hastings, Desiree Fisher, Rowan Roshong, Logan Wierzba, and Tino Majoy. Thank you to all of these students for being great representatives of McCormick Junior High.

7. Power of the Pen
Regional Writers will meet THURSDAY after school until 3:20 to work on the plan for the March 14th Tournament. If you are a Regional Writer and cannot come THURSDAY, please stop down and let Mrs. Aber know.

8. National Junior Honor Society current members are reminded to check on your work assignments for the dance AND are reminded to bring your two dozen peanut-free cookies and gallon of lemonade or punch for Friday's JUST. KEEP. MOVING. Dance.
