1.  Presale tickets for the Volleyball Regional Semi-Finals at Lake HS on Wednesday, 11/4, at 7:30 PM,  are on sale in the high school office Tuesday and Wednesday 7:30 am to
3:00 pm
. Cost of tickets are $6.00 in advance (cash only). Huron keeps 12.5% of presale tickets sold. Cost at the door will be $8.00
2.  Attention all Junior and Seniors who would like to take the American Legion Government Test:  Please sign up in Mrs. Merckens' room by THIS WEDNESDAY to receive your study guide.  The test will be given during 3rd period on Friday, Nov. 6th

If you are voting for the first time today or just want to know what is on the ballot, please see the displays throughout the high school or go to the website Electionsonthe.net

4.  Prestige Photographic (formerly Woodard and a subsidiary of LifeTouch) is coming during lunchtime on Friday, November 6th, to meet with Juniors about their Ambassador Program.  They will have a table set up in the cafeteria so please stop by for information.

5.  The Senior photo on the football field will be taken this Thursday during 5B lunch
(11:36am-12:06pm).  Seniors are asked to wear red.

Attention all present National Honor Society members, and all new members who will be inducted on Thursday:  There will be a meeting after school in the library today to prepare.  Please see Mrs. Merckens or Tyler Sasala with questions.

OACCS OhioLEADS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM Over 200 scholarships for Ohio career colleges and schools available to high school seniors ranging from $1,000 - $11,750.  Applicants must have a “C” average or better and be nominated by a local civic or community leader or current member of the Ohio Legislature.  Please visit www.ohiocareercolleges.org for scholarship brochures, Nomination Forms, and applications.  More information is also available in the Guidance office.  DEADLINE IS APRIL 9, 2016

Attention:  All students applying to a college/university must complete and return the College Tracking Form into the Guidance office at least TWO weeks before their college application deadlines are due. 

Note:  Transcripts and other information requested require at least TWO weeks for processing before they can be sent to the college of choice.  Anything submitted to Guidance short of two weeks will not be guaranteed to reach your college/university deadline.

9.  Attention all students interested in attending EHOVE next year: EHOVE will be hosting an open house for you and your parents on Nov. 12th from 4-7pm.  Be sure to attend!

10.  New Community Service Opportunity:   The Ohio Veterans Home is hosting a pre-game pep rally for their residents before the U of M/OSU football game on Nov. 21st from 9am-12pm and they are in need of volunteers!  Contact the Erie County Volunteer Center for more information or see the poster on the bulletin board outside of the HHS Main Office. 

Big Brothers, Big Sisters is looking for 5-10 high school students to run children's activities from 10:30am-1pm on Saturday, November 21st at Sawmill Creek Resort.  See Mrs. Bender for more details or to sign up.

11.  Seniors:  Huron Rotary would like to meet you at their luncheons on Tuesdays.  If you would like to attend, please pick up a form in the high school office.  Once the form is completed and turned back into the office we will schedule a time for you to go.  We normally like to send two at a time so you may want to partner up with a friend.

12.  The Huron Interact Club is an International Service organization of 13-18 year olds sponsored by the Huron Rotary Club.  To fund their first International project, the Huron Interact Club will be holding a spaghetti dinner and raffle on November 22nd from 6-7:30pm at the First Presbyterian Church.  Dinner tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children. 

13.  Attention all students who are taking a Bowling Green class 2nd semester at Firelands or HHS but are not currently taking one this Fall:  You must RE-APPLY to BGSU Firelands on their website.  You will not be able to take a Spring College Credit Plus Course if you do not re-apply.  Your deadline for all applications is Friday, Nov. 13th.

All College Credit Plus Students: You may begin registering for Spring CCP classes at BGSU Firelands THIS FRIDAY, NOV. 6th.  This is only for students who are planning to take classes at Firelands during the Spring semester.  Once you register, please remember to bring in a copy of your BG schedule to Mrs. Fahr in the Guidance Office and have a meeting with her to adjust your HHS schedule and to check your credits.  

14.  Lunch today is a burrito bowl or a toasted pizza sub.
