1. Girls basketball tryouts are this week: 7th grade 3:00-4:30 and 8th grade 4:30-6:00. Questions – see Ms. Jackson or Ms. Cotton.

2. Boys Basketball Open Gym: Today, Nov. 1st- 7th grade boys 6:30 - 7:30 and 8th grade boys from 7:30 - 8:30

3. Junior High Basketball Cheer Tryouts are at Woodlands today and tomorrow. Please pick up the tryout packet in the office. All paperwork must be completed and turned in the first day of clinic.

4. Grade cards will be distributed this Friday. Fees need to be paid, overdue library books need to be returned, uniforms need to be returned, etc., so that your grade card is not withheld.

5. This Friday, Social Worker, Sue Daugherty, will be here for our Future Friday’s presentation during study halls. Students are reminded to check in with homerooms and wait for the announcement to be called down to the auditorium.

6. Students that are interested in participating in the Coding Club should meet today after school in Mrs. LaCrosse's Room. This is room 201. We will meet until 4:00 pm. Please make sure that you have a ride promptly at 4:00 pm. See you then! 

7. Be a part of the one kind act movement at McCormick and in the city of Huron. Browse the one kind Act wall in the hallway across from the office. You can choose a card, replace it with a signed smile and change the world one kind Act at a time.

8. Coach Adams will be here during study halls today to talk to students interested in wrestling this year. Please wait to be called down.

9. Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade Academic Challenge Members who competed in yesterday's Erie county competition. The competition and questions were tough, but your classmates worked hard, and 8th grade finished in 5th place and 7th grade finished in 3rd place.

10. Also on behalf of SC and NJHS, thanks to all students and staff who attended the dance or paid $1 to wear their costume to school yesterday. We raised over $380 that will be donated to help fight hunger in Huron and to aid those affected by the recent floods and fires.

11. Student Council members, we will meet next week on Nov. 8th in room 207 during 8th grade lunch. Those students making posters for the showcase for November need to bring them to the meeting that day. See Mrs. Rowen if you need poster paper.
