HURON HIGH SCHOOL

ANNOUNCEMENTS - MONDAY, 10/30/17 

1. Today after school there will be meetings in the cafeteria for those interested in bowling or softball.

2.  Attention all CCP students who signed up for an advising appointment today:  Please come to your appointment with some classes that you are interested in taking for the Spring Semester.  Please add those classes to your shopping cart on your mybgsu account.  You will receive a pass prior to your appointment in the Tiger Union.

3.  There will be a short meeting for boys in grades 9-12 interested in playing boys basketball this year.  Ths meeting will be in Coach Schaeffer's room (207) after school on Tuesday.

4.  On Wednesday at 7pm there will be a meeting for everyone participating in swimming.  Swimmers are asked to bring their completed emergency medical forms with them.  The meeting will last approximately 30 minutes.

5.  Fall sport participants - If you would like to keep your locker decoration, please take it down prior to Friday.  At the end of the day Friday, the custodians will be disposing of those left hanging.

6.  High school cheer tryouts will be held at Woodlands starting today through Wednesday.  Please pick up the tryout packet in the high school office.  All completed paperwork is due at tryouts. 

7.  Jostens will be returning to HHS on Thursday, November 2 during lunches.  Freshmen ring orders will be taken at this time.  Seniors if you still need to order any graduation supplies, you may also do so on this day!

8.  Attention any student interested in joining S.P.A.R.K. which stands for Students Preventing Abuse & Raising Knowledge - applications are available in the Counseling office.  This organization is a youth coalition that has a mission to reduce the number of Erie County youth and adults who are involved in substance abuse and other high risk activities.

9.  Cedar Point will be here during lunches on Thursday, November 2, looking to recruit students who are interested in working at Castaway Bay or Quaker Steak & Lube.

10.  Seniors we are still looking for applicants for The Elks Student of the Month scholarship.  Applications are available in the Guidance office.  If selected as a student of the month, you will not only be entered into the local scholarship competition but also have your bio in the Sandusky Register and be invited to a scholarship dinner in May.

11.  The following colleges/universities will be visiting Huron High School.  If you would like to meet with their representative - you must sign up through Naviance.

Nov. 6th Cleveland Institute of Art 1:00pm

Nov. 7th  Terra State Community College 9:00am

Nov. 8th  United States Navy 12:40pm

Nov. 14th  Muskingum University 9:30am

12.  Lunch today is a. barbecued pork sandwich or a chicken patty sandwich.
