1. Parent-Teacher conferences are on February 20th from 3:00 – 6:00 and on February 22nd from 3:00 – 7:00. Parents should call the office to schedule a conference time.
2. 2017-18 Yearbook order forms have gone out. You may order online or with cash or check and the order form. All orders must be submitted by February 24. Give order forms with check or cash to Mr. Roth in the morning, or Mr. Maleski or Mrs. Brown.
3. Flu season is here!! Help keep yourself and your classmates healthy by: Washing your hands for 20 seconds, and often, especially before eating, and after sneezing or coughing. Keep your hands away from your eyes, ears, nose and mouth. Use good cough etiquette by coughing and sneezing into your sleeve or a tissue rather than your hands.
4. Reminder: Students who received a letter inviting them to apply for potential membership in the McCormick Junior Honor Society must have the completed Student Activity Information Form and Essay turned in to the office TODAY.
5. On Friday, February 16th at the Boys’ Varsity Basketball game, the Huron Tigers and the Vermilion Sailors are spreading the message that even rivals can join together and spread kindness. Students are encouraged to get involved by participating in the Acts of Kindness Poster Contest. Please see your homeroom teacher or the office for information. Posters are due by Friday, February 9th. The winner will receive a Kindness T-shirt and be announced at the Boys’ Basketball game on February 16th during halftime.
6. There will not be a Future Friday’s presentation today.
7. Today is the last day that student council will be taking carnation orders during both lunches. Today's workers for Raegan, Ellee, Emily, and Alpana for 8th grade lunch and Lauren, Lauren, and Joslyn for 7th grade lunch.
8. Attention parents of incoming 7th and 8th graders. There will be an informational meeting for junior high students interested in cheering for 2018 football season on Wednesday, February 21st at 7pm at McCormick Junior High auditorium.
9. Power of the Pen will today from 2:45 – 3:45. All creative writers are welcome.
