1. Attention, students interested in swimming! There will be a swim meeting at 2:45 PM in the auditorium after school on Wednesday, October 1st.

2. There will be a 10-15 minute organizational meeting for the Power of the Pen Writing Club today, right after school in Mrs. Aber's room, 104. This club is part of a statewide organization of junior high writers. Any interested 7th and 8th grade student is encouraged to attend this first meeting to get information about the club.

3. National Junior Honor Society will meet in Mrs. Aber's room MONDAY for a brief meeting immediately after school. We will look at T-shirt options, and begin to plan our next service/fund-raising event.

4. Student Council is sponsoring two days of fundraising to help a Huron family who suffered a terrible loss last week due to a house fire. Today, you may wear flip flops to school if you donate one dollar. On Friday, October third, you may wear a hat to school if you donate one dollar. Your money will be donated to the Lynch Family Fund.

5. Academic Challenge Students, remember you have practice Monday until 3:25 in room 207.
