1. Are you an artist? Would you like design this year's yearbook cover? If so, draw your own original cover. Write McCormick Jr. High 2016-2017 at the top. Put the drawing on blank computer paper 8.5 by 11 inches. Submit your drawing in color to Mr. Maleski or Mrs. Brown by Friday, Oct. 28th. The students of McCormick will vote for the winner.

2. Ripcho Studio will be here for picture retakes on Monday, October 31st at 9:00am. If you were absent on picture day in September, plan to have your picture taken. Order forms are in the office if you need one. If you have received your pictures and are not happy with them, please remember to bring those with you on October 31st so you may have your picture re-taken.

3. The Boo Bash costume and dance party is today from 2:45-4:30 so come ready to dance off the school week and have a Boo Blast.

4. Tickets for the Boo Bash dance will be sold today during both lunches. The cost is $5 per ticket. Today’s ticket sellers are: during 8th grade lunch: Makenna Schafer, Lily Schwartz, & Kennedy Crow; during 7th grade lunch: Victoria Eytchison, Lanye Gimperling, Clair Solberg & Raegan Roldan.

5. One of the groups in Mrs. LaCrosse’s 8th grade extension class is looking for about 15 empty 2-liter bottles for a project. Anyone who has one and would like to donate, please drop off the bottles to room 201. Thank you!

6. Junior Honor Society members remember to bring your 3 dozen cookies and check your job responsibilities for the dance today.

7. Student Council members remember to bring in a gallon each of Hawaiian Punch and Water and check your job responsibilities for the dance today.

8. Do you have a really cute dog or cat? If so, bring in a picture of it and give it to Mrs. Brown. Your picture will be entered into the cutest puppy and kitten contest. The winner will be featured in the school newspaper. The deadline is Thursday, November 3rd.

9. Power of the Pen writing club -- We will meet a week from Friday, Nov. 4th. Plan for it!

10. The swim team does not have practice today. There will be practice on Monday.

11. Today marks the end of the grading period. Report cards will be distributed next week.
