1. 1. Parent Teacher Conferences are on Tuesday, February 21st from 5:00-8:00.
2. Huron City Schools will be hosting their annual College Credit Plus Informational Meeting for all Huron students (currently in grades 6-11) and parents who are interested in learning more about the College Credit Plus Program through Huron City Schools tomorrow, February 8th at 7:00pm in the McCormick Jr. High Auditorium.
3. Wednesday, February 1st, letters were given to students who qualify to apply for potential membership in the McCormick Junior Honor Society. If you have any questions, or a cumulative G.P.A of 3.5 or higher and did not receive a letter, please see Mr. Carter or Mrs. Aber. The completed student activity information form and essay must be turned in to the office by Wednesday, February 15th.
4. Student Council will be taking orders for carnations Wednesday - Friday during both lunches. The cost is $1 per carnation, and flowers will be delivered on Valentine's Day.
5. Are you good at drawing cartoons? If so, pick up a form from Mrs. Brown to draw your own original cartoon for the school newspaper. The cartoon will be due by Monday, Feb. 13th to Mrs. Brown and the winner will have their cartoon put in the next school newspaper.
6. Congratulations to the Jr. High wrestling team. They placed 5th out of 11 teams Saturday. Placing for the tigers were: Andrew Bott 5th, Trent Wikel 4th, Jake Ward 5th, Jacob Detlor 1st, Keegan Wooten 4th, Devon Spurrier 4th, Kayden Yates 3rd, JJ Holiday 1st, Michael Lewallen 5th and Keegan Reyes. 2nd.
