May 7,2007 ~ Class has begun building an understanding of the reasons soldiers enlisted to fight as well as what life was like for a Civil War soldier.
May 9, 2007 ~ Class discussed the conditions and lifestyle of an average Civil War soldier.
May 14-18, 2007 ~ Class discussed and learned about the affects of combat on soldiers as well as the role women played in the American Civil War. Also, students will be required to complete a project regarding a historical figure from the Civil War period. Guidelines and expectations are listed below. Presentations will begin on May 23 (next Wednesday).
