1/4/2007 - Went over general ideas of what is a constitution. Students created a constitution. An O.T.L. was given, which is due Monday (1/8/07)
O.T.L. ~ Complete the Reading Guide for Chapter 8, Section 1
1/8/2007 - Complete a Verbal-Visual Word Association over the terms from the unit. Also, complete the reading guide for Chapter 8, Section 2 (due Thursday).

1/11/2007 - Took notes on Articles of Confederation.
1/16/2007 - Read Shays' Rebellion - a play.
1/17-18/2007 - Took notes on the Constitutional Convention and the compromises that led to the creation of the U.S. Constitution.
1/19/2007 - Finished notes on the Constitutional Convention along with the different compromises that led to the U.S. Constitution. Chapter 8, section 3 reading guide is due on Wednesday.

Our Independence and the Constitution - Short Story
1/22 to 29/2007 - Students will be preparing for a debate concerning the ratification of the US Constitution. Below are a list of notes and organizers to help prepare for the debate.
1/30/2007 - Students practiced taking "Flowing" notetaking. The class participated in a mock debate to practice their notetaking skills.
