ANNOUNCEMENTS - FRIDAY,  MARCH 5, 2010

1. Baseball tryouts will be next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday!  That's March 8, 9 & 10th.  Make sure you have a physical on file!  Times will be announced at a later date.  

2. The 2010 Summer School applications for EHOVE are available in the guidance office.

3. The library is closed 5th & 6th periods today.

4. Congratulations goes out to Lindsey Bille for being voted Huron High School's February Student of the Month.  Lindsey is an active volunteer with her church, Salvation Army, and Harvest Happenings.  In addition to school  and volunteering, Lindsey spends  a lot of time at her church and working, caring, and competing with her horses.  Lindsey is never disrespectful to other staff or students and certainly deserves this CARD award! Congratulations Lindsey! Please see Mrs. Fahr!

6. March 31st is the last day to turn in an application for the Academic Letter.  You must be a sophomore, junior or senior with a 3.6 cumulative GPA to apply.  Applications are available in the high school office.

7. Attention seniors who are 17 or older and in good standing:  You have the opportunity to participate as an official poll worker for Erie County on primary election day --May 4, 2010.  You must commit to a one hour training session and work the entire day on election day, but you get paid $112 for your efforts.  Please see Mrs. Merckens in room 210 for the application and permission form.

8. On Monday, March 8, there will be a general Art Club meeting in room 211 after school.

9. Presale tickets for tonight's basketball game at Norwalk High School vs. Lakota are on sale in the high school office.  Adult tickets are $6 and students are $4 in advance.  All tickets at the door will be $6.

10. Attention all members of National Honor Society:  There will be a meeting today, in the library after school.  If you cannot attend be sure to leave an excuse slip in the box in Mrs. Henning's office before the meeting.
