Frequently Asked Questions Regarding the Reopening of School

What do I do if my schedule is incorrect or incomplete?

How do we efficiently and safely sanitize workstations?

  • Spray/Wipe Down Procedures built in to every class period

  • Designated refuse stations / extra trash cans

  • Procedures spelled out for disinfecting best practices - Poster:  wipe down all surfaces-chairs, desktops, bars, wash hands

  • Keep windows open at night(not near electronics/electric)

How will we manage technology in the classroom (student/school devices)?

  • Assign students a device for the year

  • Disinfecting devices

  • Do not collect phones

How do we maintain social distancing spacing in our classrooms?

  • Reduced capacity - workstations spread out

  • All students face one direction

What does dismissal from classrooms look like(staggered release)?

  • Teachers monitor at door / line up before exiting(6ft)

  • One way traffic in hall

How will social distancing be maintained when arriving at school?

  • Designated holding areas - 9th-cafe, 10th-gym, 11 and 12 in N. Parking Lot

What does hallway traffic look like?  How do we maintain spacing?

  • One way traffic in hallways - 

What will our restroom policy look like?  Will certain restrooms be closed at different times of day for disinfecting?

  • School-wide QR Code recording system for sign-outs through Google Classroom

  • Drinking fountains will be disabled and students will use refilling stations to refill personal water bottles

What do students do with their materials? 

  • Since lockers will not be in use, students will be permitted to carry bookbags

End of day dismissal.  What needs to be considered?  How is it different from current procedures? 

  • Staggered release by grade level - 1 minute interval
