SENIOR ONLY PROGRAMS AT EHOVE

Students may choose to take their academic courses at Huron High and then become part of these programs for the other half of the day OR they may choose to attend EHOVE full time and finish their required academics at EHOVE.

ADD-COMPUTER ASSISTED DESIGN

The CAD program is designed for students who are interested in a career in design, drafting and other careers in business and industry that use CAD systems.  Lab consists of classes that deliver hands-on training in areas from basic blueprint reading to CAD and solid modeling.

CONSTRUCTION TRADES

Senior students have the opportunity to learn skills in four areas of construction: carpentry, electricity, masonry and welding.  This preparation will provide skills needed for entry into Construction Trades.

EMT/FIREFIGHTING

Seniors interested in the Emergency Medical Training and Firefighting may join the students in the Public Safety Academy to earn certification in these fields.

TEACHER ACADEMY

Senior students have the opportunity to explore the teaching profession through a seminar one day a week and then hands on participation in classrooms the rest of the week in this half-day program. Learn what it is like to work with elementary, middle school, high school and adult learners.

The seminar is held at Firelands College.  Student will be at Huron High School half a day (4 periods) finishing required academic courses.  The other half of the day students work with in their Teacher Academy assignment.  This is an opportunity to earn three college credits for your participation.
