Mission

The mission of the Huron City Schools, a system committed to academic excellence, is to guarantee that all students will reach their maximum potential, to be life-long learners who succeed in a global society by ensuring dedicated staff, an enriched environment, and a comprehensive and innovative curriculum in partnership with our community.

Beliefs

The Huron City School District beliefs are:

Vision

Our focus for the school year:

-  K-12 math and language arts teachers will complete and use unit plans.
-  K-12 math and language arts teachers will "pilot" the ADAM software system to monitor individual student progress
-  K-12 math and language arts teachers will revise the written performance indicators as needed.
-  K-12 math and language arts teachers will revise grade cards to address new performance indicators and level of mastery.
-  K-12 science and social studies teachers will develop performance indicators based on the academic standards adopted by the state.
-  Social Studies and science teachers will be trained in the ADAM software system.
-  Teachers, new to the district, will be trained in the ADAM software system.
-  Social studies and science teachers will complete curriculum maps.
-  Building/District leadership teams will meet to analyze data and revise/edit goals for the 2003-2004 school year.
