 Board Member - Scott Slocum
Scott has been a Board Member since January, 2006. He is the owner of RS Falcon Properties, a real estate investment/property management company. After earning a degree in Secondary Education at Bowling Green State Unversity he spent most of his career in the Human Resources field.
He is a member of the Erie County Chamber of Commerce, Huron Chamber of Commerce, Lake Erie Landlord Association, National Association of Self Employed, BGSU Alumni Association, Salem Alumni Association and St. Peter's Catholic Church.
Scott and his wife Renee have two children, Elizabeth and Allison who both attend Huron City Schools.
Board Member- Kevin Asher
President - Donna Green
Donna joined the Board in January, 2006 and is currently serving as Vice President.
She is an alumni of Huron High School and was also a teacher in the Huron School District for five years.
Donna has Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Bowling Green State University and a Masters Degree in Human Resources and Family Services from the University of Nebraska.
She has been employed by the Ohio State University for the past 12 years and presently coordinates the Family Nuitrition Program for Erie County.
Donna has two children, both of whom are graduates of Huron High School.
Board Member - John Caporini
John is in his fourth term on the Board of Education. He has served as President and Vice-President during his first three terms. John is a graduate of Huron High School. He has a B.A. Degree from Muskingum College as well as an M.A. from Northwestern University, Evanston.
He returned to Huron in 1973 to work in his family's business, Huron Cement Products Company where he currently serves as President.
John is a member of the Huron Jaycees, Huron Chamber of Commerce, IAB Club, and the Huron Athletic Boosters where he served as President for five years. He is a member of ther Huron Athletic Hall of Fame. And, he is a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church where he has been a youth basketball coach for five years. He also coached football and basketball at McCormick Middle School.
John is married to Jody Boyes Caporini. They have two children Lauren and Jill who are both Huron High School graduates.
Vice President - Nancy Bulea
Nancy was appointed to the Board of Education in 1995 to fill an unexpired term. She has since been elected four times and is now serving her fourth full term. During previous term she has served several times as Board President and also Vice President.
Nancy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from The Ohio State University. She also earned teaching certification for Learning Disabilities and Behavioral Disorders from Bowling Green State University. She has taught with the Eastlake and the Erie County School systems. Currently, Nancy is a tutor at the Sylvan Learning Center in Sandusky.
Nancy and her husband Craig moved to Huron in 1977. They have four children, Erin, Craig, Tom and Doni, all graduates from the Huron City Schools. She has served as President of the Woodlands-McCormick PTO and the Huron Band Parents Association. She also has been an active member of the Huron Athletic Boosters serving as Team Bingo Captain and the Parent Laison for football, golf and tennis teams.
